Detection of dark matter

"A new computer simulation of the evolution of a galaxy like our milky way it might be possible to observe high-energy gamma-rays given off by dark matter."

"These calculations finally allow us to 'see' what the dark matter distribution should look like near the Sun where we might stand a chance of detecting it," said Simon White. He is director of the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics.

According to scintists NASA's Fermi Telescope should search in this part of the galaxy to get a signature glow of dark matter. -space.com

I think that other effects of gamma rays should work on dark matter and we can detect it not only by telescope but by other sensitive equipments as this dark matter can exist anywhere around us and make effect on us.
